Rogue is a mutant who formerly possessed the ability to absorb the memories, abilities, personality, and outward physical characteristics of other beings through skin-to-skin contact. Such transfers lasted for 60 times longer than the contact time, with extended contact resulting in the possibility of permanent absorption. No upper limit had been determined for the number of beings Rogue could simultaneously imprint.  Upon absorbing another's memories, Rogue also gained any associated emotional responses. Rogue was typically able to control such emotions, however absorbing psyches more powerful than her own resulted in Rogue’s psyche being supplanted.

History:

When she was little Rogue ran away from home and was taken in  by Mystique and Destiny (Irene Adler), whom Rogue came to regard as her surrogate parents. Right around teenage years Rogue powers started to develop more and more. She put her boyfriend in a coma when she kissed in and aborted his memory and all. She realize that she could not live a normal and safe life like she wanted too. She tried going to be a part of the  X- Men and realize she did not fit in there and  it was then  after that she got into the same crime streak her foster mother was in and aloes join the brotherhood as well. Rogue's mutant power first manifested in her early teens when she kissed Cody Robbins. Her mind filled with his memories, and he fell into a permanent coma. Eventually realizing she could never safely live among normal people.

    It took her a while to realize and soon became distraught of her lack of control of her power that she to her once friends and now emeries for help. Professor Xavier accepted her onto the team. But it took a while for the rest of the X-Men to trust her again. One a certain mission and saving one of the X-men friends life they soon began to trust her again. It was not long after that she finally gain there trust and became part of the X-men and finally had place where she belonged.

Role play example:

Rogue looked out the window of her bedroom at the Xavier's School for the Gift. She had been sitting up in her room all day well it seems like and college at the school was quite boring at times. She spent most of her time in her room the last couple of days working on her school where in her room than attend class. A lot was going through her mind and she did not want to talk about it to anyone. She not to think about it because sometimes it broke her into tears. At times she thought it was a dream. She could not give the whole account or was not letting it come to her memory at this time. She almost killed someone and put them in a coma luckily that did not happen. She took mutants powers before where it did not kill them but barrowed them for a while. This time seemed different and she did not know why really. She closed her eyes thinking about that could happen or might happen and she did not want that to happen again. She open her eyes hearing a knock on the door.
