Powers/Abilities
Animal Morphing (type of Shape Shifting)
Spencer is a mutant but very limited in his shape shifting. He can only transform into a breed of dog known as Akita. In his dog form, he has the heightened senses they do but in human form he doesn't. Though there are times a pair of dog ears appear on his head but that's when he gets too excited about things, normally he can control that. He can't talk when in his dog form, instead he just barks, snarls, and growls. He does seem to keep most of his human intelligence though when as a dog.

Team Affiliation:
none. He doesn't think he can be of any use to a team let alone if his power can actually be useful.

Personality:
Spencer is normally a good soul, he has manners that are worthy of making him a English gentleman. He is often seen being respectable and rather calm as well as tolerant. However he does have a breaking point and is able to show his rage when that point is broken. Like they say, always watch out for the quiet ones. When meeting new people, he can be quiet and very distant and distrusting. But with time, he might just come around and if a good enough friendship forms. You've earned a loyal friend. He can sometimes be a bit....well...kind of cryptic or talking in riddle like rhythm or rhyme. (not sure what to classify it as). He can sometimes get a bit depressed like in normal conversations. Mainly ones that are focused on family of any kind.
His self confidence though is sometimes in question, some days he seems to have a good amount of confidence, other days he doesn't. He's not confident in his power that is for sure and really doesn't strive to make himself capable of reaching any full potential. He doesn't want to get rid of it but merely just control what he has. The disappearance of his sister and death of his mother have left him saddened and it doesn't help him out all that much. He can be a bit of a dunce when it comes to romance since he's never had anyone like him that way or him like a girl that way. So patience in that department is best.

History:
Born to June Gibbs and a unknown father, his sister and him were raised by her on her own. The two siblings were on good terms and their mother loved them both equally. As a boy, Spencer had always asked his mother questions about his father. Wanting to know who the man was to try and find them one day. His mother....told him nothing. Other than if Spencer ever did figure out who his father was, was for the boy to keep a distance from the man. This confused him greatly. However things would just get even more confusing when he was seven years old. The house was usually lonely when the two siblings came home and after some begging to their mom, they would get a dog. Going to the pound, Spencer was clearly excited and looking foward to trying to find a dog. The pound wasn't in the town they lived in, so they had to go to the nearest town that had a very small pound. On that day, it wasn't very busy just one of the employees were there. While his mother was off talking to the employee, Spencer was with his sister looking at some of the dogs. The excitement he had only got higher until it resulted in a secret revealing itself.
Without warning, a pair of small dog ears showed up on his head and while his sister noticed and pointed it out to him. Even laughing at him and then grabbing the ears to pull on them, it resulted in him getting upset since it hurt when she pulled on them and she was laughing at him. A few moments later there was a akita puppy sitting there getting it's ears pulled; oddly enough the two siblings were looking at one just second ago. Getting free of his sister's graps, he started barking at her and that's when she noticed that he had changed completely. Telling him to stay put, she went to get their mother; which took a while since she kept telling Anna to hold on. Though their mother gaze in and bent down to ask what it was, only for her eyes to go wide when her daughter told her that Spencer turned into a dog. Going over to where Spencer was, she found him still as a Akita puppy, tail wagging slightly with a tilted head.
Somehow his mother managed to cover up the reality of hte situation and pretty much ended up adopting her own son out of the pound. Once in the car, he managed to change back and that was when the talk started. A talk that pretty much revealed that he was a mutant along with his mother and that he'd have to keep it a secret. As time went by, he did his best to do as his mother wanted, though there had been several close calls after that but he managed to get some control. His sister though seemed to be waiting for herself to get powers and a gap came between the siblings, though it wasn't noticeable until their ending years at High School. Spencer didn't understand why his sister was jealous of the ability he have, considering he couldn't go out to parties and have fun like she could. Plus she had made friends easier than he did and he always had the constant worry on his mind that he wouldn't be able to keep what he could do in control as well as secret. But despite his attempts, his sister just kept getting madder at him.
Graduation came and went, and the relationship between him and his sister stayed the same. She still didn't have any powers much to her anger, though Spencer wasn't concerned with that. His mother had fallen ill during their last month of school and it seemed that she wasn't going to make any recovery. He chose to stay and be with his mother, trying to help her get better. Though it seemed his sister had other plans, she simply just disappeared form their lives after graduation. No letter and no calls, she just seemed to vanish. Getting a job at a bookstore, Spencer worked there for three years. Sadly this marked when his mother died while he was at work and was thus notified by the police. Her heart seemed to have just stopped and there was no evidence of fowl play. Saddened by his mother's death, he requested a few weeks of vacation which was granted. However, he oddly spent his time either in his dog form or trying to figure out who his father was. Once his vacation time was up, he returned to his job yet still kept his search for his father up in his spare time, along with his roaming as a dog at night really more than in day. Two years passed and he's kept up this routine, having no breakthroughs with his search.

Sample Post:
Spencer let out a sigh as he closed the book and put it off to the side. So far going through his mother's old things weren't helping him pinpoint who his father. Her old yearbooks and journals didn't point him anywhere either. Her journals seemed to skip the time where she meet who was his father all the way up until his sister and him were born. Rather bizarre in his opinion. Taking a glance at the small apartment, he wondered if he should be wasting his time on other matters. Yeah he had a job but that was over for the night, and he really didn't fancy going to a club or anything. There weren't any friends he could go to and just talk. So getting up, he headed for the door, opened it, and exited the room. Closing the door, he was about to start down the hall when he stopped.
"Hey Spence, where you going." A voice asked, turning his gaze to the person he gave a smile.
"I'm just going for a walk." Spencer replied, the man looked at him confused.
"At this hour? You sure about that man? Considering how many bad guys there are at this hour?"
"I'll be fine, Max. Don't worry." giving a wave to the man, Spencer started down the hall.
"Alright man, but if you get shot out there don't come crying to me."
