(June 5th, early afternoon, open to all in Gotham)
Honestly, all she'd wanted to do was to go home.
Stephanie groaned, holding her nose as she sat cross legged on one of the benches of the station, keeping her head tilted back to stop the bleeding. She'd just finished class for the day, and summer classes hadn't been her first choice. Stephanie had had no intentions of taking them until Bane had made everything go to hell, and then she'd had to quit her university courses for the semester to make room for sleeping and nightime brawls.
But on her way to the station to head home, some jerk had been trying to rob a corner store, comforted by the daylight keeping the rumored Batman at bay. She'd had to use her hoodie's hood to hide her face, and trying to fight without it falling off was not a freeing experience. The bloody nose was a present from the black-tights-over-head wearing freak show. In return she'd left him on the ground, cradling his crotch and gagging, the shop owner pointing a shotgun at the man and thanking her as she dashed out.
God Bless America, apparently.
Using her phone screen, she reluctantly let go of her nose, assessing the damage. She had a few droplets on her shirt, but beyond the drying lines down her lips and chin it wasn't too awful. Sighing, she began fishing around in her bag for some tissues or a wetnap, putting her extra shirt in her lap. She'd have to find a place to change into that before she got home - great. She could hear Damian's voice in her head, his stiff sniffing tone. 'This is why you should always be prepared, Brown.'
Little snot.

(Took me a while, but I finally came up with something.)
Tim just got done busting up crime as he was wearing his typical cloths and sunglasses, he couldn't get a break since Batman was nowhere to be found, Crime thinks they can get away with everything while Batman was away doing only God knows what, he decided to take the Subway just to hitch a ride somewhere, he didn't seem to care where.
He looked and saw Stephanie on the bench of the station, he didn't know why she was there as he walked up to her. "Hey." He said to her as he walked up to the bench.

Stephanie looked up from her bag, freezing. "Tim! I - hi. Don't mind the blood, you should see the other guy. Actually you shouldn't, he was hog tied, and crying, it was a mess." She laughed nervously, ducking her head down so her hair obsured her face a bit more.
Snatching up a tissue and her water bottle, she wet it down and began mopping up her face. Trying to keep talking as if she weren't in a great deal of pain, she questioned, "You're a bit out of your neck of the woods aren't you? I didn't think Bruce Wayne's adoptees had to take subways."
Bringing up the fact he was a foster child wasn't done with any malice - she'd lost her dad, and after faking her own death she liked to think that it didn't have to be an awkward and avoided topic. Besides, anything to distract from her facial damage. After all, it had been Tim who once upon a time had made her swear to give up fighting crime.
"Seriously though, if Damian finds out your slumming it he's going to use it as another reason why he's the prodigal child. No one needs that."

Tim didn’t seem to mind the questions though he was curious about the blood, he then heard her ask a question. “I was curious.” He said to Stephanie. “Just wanted to try the subway for the first time.”
He knew he was a foster child, his mom died with an illness, his father was killed by Captain Boomerang, he then heard her say something about Damian. “True, which is why I’m not going to say anything.”
Tim wasn’t one to let things slide though, he had a funny feeling she was out fighting crime and decided to out of curiosity ask her. “Have you been out crime fighting again?” He asked. He had a feeling that the blood could have been either that she fell and hit her nose causing to bleed or she had fought a criminal, but chances are that he could be just jumping to conclusions.

"Pft, whaaat?" Stephanie drew out the word, shaking her head. "I'm a girl Tim, we bleed. Jeez read a health class book or something Boy Wonder."
"Also, no one tells Damian anything. He just knows." She shook her head, cleaning the last of the blood with the back of her hand, ditching the tissue in the trash and getting up, stuffing her hands in her pockets. The station was filled with the squeal of brakes as the train come rushing in, slowing gradually till it took up the length of the station. She headed towards it, calling, "Try not to touch anything. No, seriously, don't. Unless you want to contract something."
She didn't look back, assuming if Tim was just riding he'd be coming on her train. She dropped down into one of the four seater areas, taking the window seat. Provided Tim joined her, she'd ask, "So how have things been, you know... with everyone? You're doing okay?"

“Sorry.” Tim apologized he then heard about Damian. “It makes you wonder how he knows.” He then looked when he heard the Train screech to a halt, he then heard Stephanie warn about the train. “Thanks for the warning.” He wasn’t trying to be rude, but he did appreciate the warning before he did actually touch something.
Tim followed Stephanie onto the train being careful not to touch anything, he sat down in the next seat to Stephanie by the window. When he heard her ask a question. “Everything’s been okay.” He replied. “I on the other hand, have been looking for Batman since his disappearance.”

Stephanie had forgotten how seriously Tim took everything. Trying to conceal a grin, she watched him maneuver his way to the seat beside her. She allowed her smile to form in relief as he answered her question, but her brows flew up as he mentioned Batman.
She jerked around in her seat to scan the people around them, then laughed mechanically and nodded. "Yeah, aren't we all?"
Straightening she shot him a 'are-you-crazy?' look, and breathed, "You do realize people can hear us right?"
What he'd said bothered her, more than just the fact that he'd brought it up shoulder to shoulder with the random citizens of Gotham. She thought back to her last day as a resident at Wayne manor, snarling a Bruce and giving him hell for abandoning them. Batman had still been illusive, Bruce even more so... but she had run into him from time to time. Bruce had a way of finding them whenever they got in too deep.
"So... you haven't seen him at all?" How could she just say 'Oh, well, when I was out as Batgirl a few months ago, he came and kicked this drug dealer in the head. It was awesome.' "Is... he at the mansion still?"

Tim heard Stephanie ask a question then saw her shoot him a look as if she was asking him a question, he got to admit she did have a point, everyone within hearing range could hear him, but what he didn’t say was who Batman really was to him that was a BIG no no, since all the villains would know his true identity if that were to happen, then well… His place would be filled with Villains trying to kill him.
Tim shook his head in response to Stephanie’s question. “It’s possible, I’m thinking about heading on over there so I can get some answers.”

Stephanie had assumed Tim was living at the mansion, so she frowned in confusion when he mentioned heading there. "That's probably a good idea... If you want, I can come with you. Even if he isn't there Alfred should have some answers."
Honestly, she wanted to make sure Alfred didn't let slip anything about her new post. So far as she knew, he had no idea she'd been keeping it from Tim. She'd been creeping into the Batcave at strange hours, trying to avoid Damian and Tim, and pretty well everyone.
Glancing around, she got to her feet, grabbing one of the bars. They were close to the next station. No subway was going to get them close to Wayne Manor. "You know what? Let's do it. Even he has to sleep some time. You're paying for the cab though, Mr. First Time Subwayer. I'm broke."
