(Date: June 9th open to Science Bros or Boyfriends fun times!)
Tap, Tap, Tap. The end of Bruce's pen hits the table he was hunched over as he jots down a few notes in his note book. He pulls back looking at what he had written, very much satisfied. Bruce has yet to tell Tony about his run in with Lobo a few nights before, but he was sure he would of seen it mentioned on the news at least. After all it was not every day a person would see The Hulk get his ass nearly beat by a psycho biker alien. His lips pull down in an unconscious frown, one that Stark would notice when he would enter the room.

Tony’s arrival is very much in-character, quick, smooth strides across the room, - finding himself at Dr. Banner’s side with not much wasted time and no less of an imposing entrance to show for it.
“404? -Summarize, Doctor. What’s cracking?” It’s a quick greeting, he knows, as he splays a hand palm down on the desk, and leans forward, eyes flicking across the paper - not that Bruce particularly invited him to read it. [ it’s too late now. ]
He’s fresh out of the workshop, hair just a bit less slicked and combed than usual, more unkempt, and a sheen of sweat glossing his features. His black AC/DC T-Shirt almost suffices to complete the look, but the real indicator of his recent tinkering is the oil that still shines black in small spots on his wrist and forearm, completely missed when he’d wiped his hands. Oh, and the eager, invigorated look already sparking in his eyes.
He hopes that Bruce is just as excited to get cracking on algorithms and calculations and whatever they stumble upon today. At first, the doctors frown almost makes him think he isn’t, but that frown is familiar, and just one of Bruce’s habits. It could mean something, but maybe it doesn’t. Either way it triggers a rush of fondness in Tony, and he almost reaches a hand out to ruffle the Doctor’s hair, the soft, seafoam curls.
Until he looks down at his hand and remembers the oil.

“404? -Summarize, Doctor. What’s cracking?”
Banner's eyes leave the paper and turn to Stark "calculations" he says, now taking in the state of the man beside him, face now pulls into a dissapproving frown. "You do remember this is a lab right? sterile environment" his head bobs to a sigh outside of the room. "But its your tower so whatever" he gives a shrug of his shoulders.

“But of course, Doctor.” There’s only a tint of sarcasm vaguely concealed in his voice, and he is well aware that he really should adhere more carefully to his own lab’s rules. So Tony darts out of the lab, and a short second later, he re-emerges, spotless, back to Bruce’s side.
“You really do insist upon that old notebook, don’t you?”
It’s a statement steeped in his own opinion, just a tad too critical as he pores over the downright brilliant strings of numbers and chicken-scratched notes. Really, he doesn’t much care what Bruce writes in, - as long as it gets the job done, shows all his beautiful brainwork, - and the notebook is oddly fitting for Banner, somewhat outdated and modest compared to the jungle of intricate technology surrounding them. But, Tony will point it out, if only to evoke reaction, and he continues speaking, even as he reads, campaigning and advertising all blended together with observations and statements of approval.
“Use a Stark tablet, and you won’t have to graph manually. Just a single tap of a button, you know. ...Hmmm, nice, - just a few words to JARVIS, - this is good, Banner. ..."

"Tablets can crash" Banner states, closing the notebook now and spins in his rolling chair to face Tony "Hell half of the stuff in this room can, notebooks don't do that" he grins motioning with a hand to a nearby computer. "Now since I'm done writing. Do you want to do something?" he asks, running a hand threw his curly hair also swiping the sweat away with the motion.

“My tablets don’t crash-”, he remarks succinctly, feigning offence for about a minute before he nods towards Bruce, in response to the inquiry.
To be honest, he’s a bit surprised. He’d have though that even with his insistent prodding and urging, their unspoken agreement to talk about work, and only work, would’ve lasted longer, -at least a little. -And, another source of surprise is that he’d always imagined himself being the one to dissolve said agreement. But, ah, well. He doesn’t mind, anyhow. Spending time with Bruce is far from tedious, be it in the lab - where they bounce ideas off one another, rapid fire, and do what they do best, - or, elsewhere. He's modest and reserved, with a simple, rather [sometimes] cynical sense of humour, and he's a puzzle that Tony wants to solve more than almost any other.
So if Bruce is asking to spend more time with him, be it lab-work, or something else, - he has no complaints.
“Like what?”

"They might?" Bruce snorts glancing at the maze of machines that surround them. "think of all the hackers that want stuff out of you" the doctor stands now as Tony asks his question. "meditate, go have lunch, talk about something besides science, I do like other things besides Science, ya know?" he pulls the lab door open and holds it for Tony to pass threw. "Billionaire's first" he smirks.
((more flirting! I want to play embarrassed Brucey!))

“Foo- Oh, why thank you, Doctor.”
Tony seems to catch on quickly, and in but a moment, his mind has gone rapid fire, stringing together thoughts and pretences and ideas and refining nonsense, converting into relative order. Anything but science? - Tony entertains a couple of thoughts; grandiose gestures, spur-of-the-moment vacation plans, spa days, finger-food cooked by a Michelin chef. There’s literally endless possibilities, but then there’s the all-too-likely possibility of Bruce shutting his more grandiose plans down. ....Especially since Tony is quite seriously contemplating driving Bruce to a remote canyon and convincing him to Hulk-Out. He’ll whine if he needs to. God, it would be like an early Christmas!
There are several reasons that this outcome is mucho unlikely.
“Unless you have any better ideas, Banner, - and I have to say, I have good instincts - not to mention experience, when it comes to showing someone a good time. - Stark’s my name, party’s are my game. And, well, you know, saving the world, press conferences, autographs, - the works. Unless you have any better ideas, we spin a globe, put our finger down, and within the hour we’ll be anywhere but here.”
He takes a second, takes a breath, pauses to think.
-
“Or,....we could stay here, go somewhere for lunch, you know, I basically own this city. No, - the country! The people, they love me. So - name a place, anywhere.”
His eyes rest on Bruce for a long moment, - even as he loosens the reigns, surrenders control. They trace the soft, square set of his jaw, and the rise of his cheekbones, and he feels vaguely less certain, or even, confident than usual, and this, somehow -... he feels reminiscent of a struggling turtle on it’s shell. And then, because it’s Banner, and he trusts Banner, he pushes it to the back of his mind, but - he let’s his gaze linger on the doctor, deliberately, visibly intrigued. As if searching, maybe.
In a way, in a place buried not too far from the surface, he wants Bruce to see him looking. -

Bruce is now moving down the hall at a slow pace as his fellow scientist rambles on about ideas. "Are you saying you want to take me on vacation?" Bruce pauses in step and turns to look at him. Tony's brown orbs are starring at him and Bruce knows the look, the same one that Betty had given him years ago in the motel room as they laid togther on the bed. Bruce's gaze breaks away after what seems like a full mintue of them staring at each-other and speaks,
"Say something,I know that look" Bruce leans on the wall now watching the billonare. Betty's gone, It was time to start a new.

It takes a moment.- Or at least the silence seems to hang heavy in the air for longer than Tony’s typically straightforward comments would allow. And then, it’s but a “yeah.”, a concise nod, his tongue swiping across his lips briefly to moisten chapped lips, an all too palpable swallowing, a flicking of cinnamon hues, and then, a more firm, convicted reply. “Yes. That’s well - one thing we could consider.-Variables.” But what does this moment mean? He’s come to know a lot about how simple decisions can pull your life this way and that, until you end up with tangled strings.
And though Tony does in fact, contrary to common belief, think about his decisions, he tires of the thinking, becomes aggravated, acts on impulse and throws all of his careful planning away for a half-intuitive, part self-destructive choice. Again and Again and Again. And sometimes it turns out to be gold, like his monumental change of heart, swimming in pain and rubble of his old life and old legacy so long ago.
“But - right. no science today. No variables. Say it was a yes or no proposal?”
All the time’s he’s left his home behind, or proposed ‘vacation’, fled from the weight of it all - he’d been making mistakes. But then again, now, there’s nothing really here to flee from. Nothing to escape, and so, nothing to indulge in escapism for.
He wonders what will happen if they go together, though. Him and a friend, and a change of environment. What can he say? He loves to shake things up, doesn’t he? Put the fizz in the champagne, and all that.

Bruce studies the raven haired man in front of him. "Yes" Bruce confirms, "You pick the place, it's gonna be nice not to be hiding and on the run for a change" Banner says, his eyes trail down Tony's body for a second before returning to look into his eyes. "But we can only stay for a day or two" he muses. Four years he had known this man, four years in which he had finally felt safe. He starts down the hallway again leading towards the kitchen before stopping and turns to look at Stark. "Are we more then friends Tony? I mean me being your therapist and all..." He trails off swallowing hard.
