(June 1st. Open to all at Xavier's School.)
Eminem blared in his ears in the massive headphones; Monster. He grinned at the lyrics. That was him. Friends with the monster under his bed. It was a terribly funny thought; Jakkie creeping under his bed like a little critter. But she wasn't a little monster. She was more than that. Months she'd been there. He'd tried so hard to get her to enroll in classes but she'd refused as far as he knew. He gave a smirk up towards the sunny sky. His smile faltered slightly. Damn. It had grown hot. Black on black wasn't so smart in that weather. He'd cut his hair but it was still insanely hot.
He peered down at his sketchbook. A few pictures of Jakkie were scattered through out some industrial sketches. He gave a sigh. How DID he feel about the girl? He shrugged, leaning back on his palms. Might as well relax and take in the sun.
For what he could.

"It's hooottttt." she groaned. Jakkie had stayed for the five months, regardless of not taking any classes. The only one she really talked to at this place was Kevin. And that in itself was remarkable. It was maybe the longest she'd stayed in one place besides her home when she was younger with her father. Jakkie couldn't even place what it was about Kevin that made her stay, but she wasn't about to have a sit down and talk about it. She now stood in front of Kevin, and she kicked at the toe of his shoe.
"It's hot." she said again. The girl was wearing a sweater- which she promptly shed over her head in favor of the tank top that was underneath. She threw the hoody down on the ground, and then flopped onto her stomach beside Kevin. She shifted so she could better see Kevin, her red eyes searching the boy, as she pushed her white hair from her face. No. She wasn't quite sure what she was still doing at this school.

Alec stepped out of the French doors at the back of the institute, dressed in jeans and a short sleeve, black square Ray Ban sunglasses shielding him from the unpleasant sun. From the way he hung his head, he was clearly hung over, but despite what he'd claim if anyone asked it hadn't been a overindulgent party.
Drinking by himself on the plane back from London, where he'd been for the last two months taking his mother around to historic sites when she had the strength and health. She'd flown back early when his dad claimed to need her for some big event, but the truth was he didn't like the idea of her being alone with Alec. The mutant paranoia from his father was getting a lot worse.
Guzzling gatorade, Alec was headed for the fountain with the full intention of dunking his head in - a girl with a mutation related to water had exploded the pipes in his living area of the house - it when he heard Jackie talking. He stiffened, but managed not to hitch his step. He'd been sure that by the time he'd got back, she'd be gone and Kevin would be more easily avoided. They'd been somewhere around here when Alec pushed Jackie into going full on killer mode. He wasn't eager to have it out with either of them today, so pretended not to notice them, setting his drink down on the stone boarder of the fountain, Alec leaned on it with a low groan, removing his sunglasses reluctantly.
"The freaks are everywhere," he muttered to himself, scooping up some water and splashing his face, unwilling to expose himself fully by dunking his head. As far as he was concerned, Jackie would be likely to take the opportunity to drown him.

There she was, appearing out of the blue again. Kevin removed his headphones and casually placed them beside his legs, moving his notebook as well. Jakkie didn't need to see what a creeper he was being. He tilted his head towards her, his face flushing slightly as she discarded her hoody. He just grunted slightly and went to instinctively roll up his sleeves. But his gloved hands faltered as he internally cursed. "Thanks for the update, weather girl," he said with a smirk.
She was the closest person he had. The only friend he'd made and she'd just bumped into him when she was running from a crime scene. it made him question this school. He was disrupted when the doors opened and the male's eyes narrowed. But he wouldn't actually say anything to Alec. Not unless he started something with him.
"It's super hot," he said to Jakkie, "But it's pretty out."

She huffed at him pointedly when he took the teasing tone with her and rolled her red eyes. For once she didn't have anything to say to that, and instead took to continue examine Kevin. She did that a lot. Wordlessly looked at him completely calm leaving very little to read as far as what he thoughts were. She did catch his narrowed eyes though and followed his gaze. She had to look over her shoulder, and when she did she was hardly pleased. Alec..
Just looking at him sent a rush of adrenaline. Anger and annoyance. She hadn't turned since that day where she almost killed Kevin and Alex, and also got killed. She'd been told what had happened afterwards and it wasn't pretty. She was surprised that no one had died and knew a lot of it had to do with Alec's powers. Thankful for that- but she'd never let him know outright.
"Ignore him..." she muttered, but had half a mind to hiss at him. But instead she chose to reach for Kevin's hand that was nearest to her. She paused a moment before contact to glance at him before tracing a circle on his gloved hand with her forefinger. "If we're lucky- he might crack his head and drown..."
She was always pushing at Kevins limits, trying to connect with touch and make him more comfortable. Of course- it always made him uncomfortable. It was no surprise whenever he stiffened under her fingers.

Wiping the water through his hair, Alec got to his feet, examining the sun reproachfully. Putting his glasses back on, he turned, examining the pair, watching as Jackie took Kevin's hand. Instinctively his eyes narrowed, his brow quirking. Grabbing his drink, he mulled over the idea of just going back inside, but their happiness in general just irritated him. Why in the hell was it easy for those two to find happiness?
As far as he was concerned, Jackie would never deserve it.
Forgiveness was never his strong suit, and he didn't exactly feel victorious about their last encounter.
"Jeeze, I go away for a couple months, the place goes to shambles," he started over, keeping - he hoped - out of Jackie's lunging range. "Although I'm profoundly comforted by the knowledge that breeding isn't a possibility for the two of you. So, how've you both been?" he asked in a mock friendly tone. "Killed, maimed, or violated anyone lately?"

Kevin smirked at her joke before flinching as if she'd touched him with a burning match. Why did she have to do that? "Don't," he murmured weakly, "I keep telling you. Don't." He pushed back his hair, letting out a loud sigh. Touch. Why did she have to constantly remind him he was shaded from the world, blocked out by his mutant powers and a layer of inorganic fabric. He tucked his knees close to his chest, averting his emerald eyes from the girl. His eyes shut and he thought about apologizing. Until he heard the bully coming towards them.
"Jeeze, I go away for a couple months, the place goes to shambles. Although I'm profoundly comforted by the knowledge that breeding isn't a possibility for the two of you. So, how've you both been? Killed, maimed, or violated anyone lately?"
"ALEC." The name was spat out like a disgusting piece of food. Kevin's eyes tightened darkly as he turned his head, still averting his gaze from Jakkie's crimson eyes. "Don't you have anything better to do? Kids' candy to steal? Ants to burn with magnifying glasses?"
Kill...was that so needed? Those words which stung his chest like a heart attack.

"Yeah yeah. I know." she grumbled back at Kevin, rolling her eyes. He didn't need to be such a baby about it... The sensitivity levels coming from that boy were ridiculously tiresome for someone like Jakkie. And yet again, she was having trouble believing she was still here, still staying in his room and not even taking classes. Well that last part was more of a perk than a problem. But still. She released a heavy sigh and watched the exchange from Alec and Kevin go down.
As for killing, maiming and violation?
"Not since you've been gone." Jakkie shrugged indifferently, but her eyes were cold as she examined the boy, "Care to change that record though?" She was more than ready for round two.
But she wasn't technically lying. Her streak for 'changing' had only happened once since Alec had been gone. It was a freak accident, and Kevin hadn't been there, which was probably why it had happened. Usually he calmed her down pretty well. Maybe that's why she was still hanging around. Regardless, she'd gotten out alive, and no murders were in the papers. As far as she knew she hadn't done any real damage.

"Kevin!" Alec replied in mockery as Kevin spat out his own name. He smirked at the pair, admiring the different tactics. Kevin tried to make him feel like the psychopath. Jackie just went right for threats. Neither were an effective way of putting him off.
"My goodness, come to say hello and everyone acts like I'm going to start something," he put his hands in his hands in his pockets. "Which I think is pretty unfair, seeing as odds are out of our little party here I'm the only one who hasn't killed anyone. No judgement though, water under the bridge and all that. Tootles."
Satisfied he'd at least ruined their little garden party, he started back towards the school.

What was this then?
Standing at the edge of the building, mini skirt flowing off of her legs, tank top hanging low, was Sophie. Her orbs switched from her iphone's music to the commotion popping up in front of her. She grinned, fangs slipping over her teeth as she watched Alec walk away from the fuming Kevin Ford, death touch kid, and his weird little pet. Sophie had seen Kevin stalking about with Jakkie before and had always wondered who the female was.
But this guy in front of her was something else. Alec, hot and handsome, rich as far as she knew. She tossed her blonde hair to the side as she batted her eyelashes. "You sure know how to stir stuff up, don'tcha handsome?"

"FUCK you," Kevin hissed, "Go back to the hole you crawled out of." Kevin almost slammed his head against the tree in frustration. His hand slipped from his side to Jakkie's shoulder absentmindedly. "Don't listen to him, Jakkie, he's a scumbag."
His hand shot off her shoulder as if it was hot as he looked sheepishly to the side. "I'm sorry, I didn't mean to..."

Jakkie just grunted seeing that Alec was on his way out anyways. She found it easier to elect calmness and shake it off, the only reason being that he was already leaving. He just wanted to ruffle her feathers- which would have been more easily done had he stayed. In fact, Kevin seemed more bothered than Jakkie was. She just folded her hands behind her head and leaned back, so when Kevin touched her shoulder it was something of a surprise. Less surprising when he apologized and tore his hand back.
"It's not a big deal." she shrugged. "You're the only one bothered by it here."
By 'here' she meant between the two of them. She couldn't speak for the other kids, especially since Alec so clearly made his point. But Jakkie had never cared to speak about them before, much less defend or speak for their views. She closed her eyes , a distinct frown on her face.

Alec would have returned inside if another voice hadn't distracted him, drawing his complete attention. Alec had noticed the girl about a few times, admiring the fact that she was obviously attractive and completely aware of the fact. He had nothing against owning one's advantages.
It didn't hurt when others noticed his too, though.
"What else is there to do around here?" He smirked, shrugging as if he were helpless in the matter. Well covered by the shadow of the school, he figured he was safe to take the sunglasses off now without risking more beaming glare. "Although now I say that I can think of a few other diversions. Why haven't we met, before now? I'm Alec."

"You're the only one bothered by it here."
Kevin sighed, blushing a little before turning towards her, green orbs shining slightly in the sunlight. "You should be bothered by it," he said, "I'm...you know...YOU KNOW...ugh." He scrunched his nose a bit, leaning back on the tree. Alec had reminded him, riled him up, maybe that was his plan. Maybe Alec wanted Kevin to be sitting on the edge of his seat thinking about murder, about his powers, about why Jakkie was reclined next to him.
He didn't speak again for the moment. Just letting the birds chirping be enough sound between the two of them.

She offered a simple laugh, clutching her iPhone to her chest while twirling her blonde hair casually with her other hand. "I guess nothing much," she offered with a shrug, "A school full of kids with superpowers is more boring than it sounds." She offered a smile, trying her hardest to tuck the tips of her fangs back.
"I'm Sophie. Sophie Adder." She tilted her head to the side, tucking her iPhone in her skirt pocket. "So Alec," she said, "What's your special talent? Besides riling up death-touch boy and his doggy."
